Adrienne and Eric are....
two of the coolest expecting parents on the planet. ( and don't think I am exaggerating 'cause I'm not)
I consider myself very fortunate to have been able to meet up with Adrienne and Eric to document this very important moment in their lives together. This job is really a privilege more than anything else. They are just the nicest couple of people ever and I wish them the VERY best. I know they will be the greatest parents as they greet their first newborn.
Here is one of my very favorites from their shoot. More to follow....

Please stop your swine-ing...
I rarely watched regularly scheduled programs anymore, and I hardly ever watch the news. They only share bad news and the bias of the networks is sometimes enough to make me insane. The DVR is an awesome invention. I can't imagine watching TV without it. It should have it's own pedestal in our home. The man is addicted to Family Guy (ok, I like it too) and lately, I'm plugged into Seinfeld reruns. (when I break free from the computer) It's a phase, I'm sure. I have had a few days away from the
J- O- B and if my husband had not waved the newspaper at me yesterday, I would not have known about this swine flu business until I got back to work. I feel more prepared; prepared to be a little more busy than usual. Pesky swines. And we JUST finished flu season, darn it. So, I felt it necessary to pass on a very useful little tip that I know most people are aware of, but just forget about sometimes. And a message is always stronger with a visual aid attached; my own little commercial to help out anyone checking in. Who knows? I could double this up as a medical reference blog.
It kills 99.99% of all germs. That's crazy! I don't want to run into the .01% that hangs on and can't be killed. Ugh!
Pick this up and keep it with you and wash your hands, wash your hands, wash your hands. Wipe off desktops and phones in your workplace and stay home if you are sick. Unless, you are a nurse. Get to work. We need you.

After my heart...
Worked the entire day closing up on a project enough to take a look into more recent shoots next to go. My first answer to a model call was from a friend of this young gal's mom. Sofia is just perfect to me. She is full of life, loves dogs, not afraid to
get down in the dust, and she could show that dog who was boss, most of the time. My kind of girl all the way. Doesn't hurt
that she is striking either. Nevertheless, she is one example of why I love shooting "short people". Truthful and honest, they are
who they are. No premise, no faking. I LOVE it! Give me ten million. I'll shoot them all day long.
More soon....happy Thursday!

stray thoughts...
Whenever we have unseasonably warm (okay-hot!) weather, I always wonder if Al Gore is walking around feeling just a little bit
smug thinking to himself, "I told ya so."

What to expect when you're expecting...
More joy than you ever thought possible.
A quick preview from an evening with Meghan and Eric. They should be expecting just about any day now. This is one of my very favorites from the shoot. It looks great in the original color and black and white. But, I just really like it this way.
Meghan, I hope everything is going according to plan for you and Eric. This little boy or girl is going to have the most brilliant
blue eyes. I just know it. Blessings to both of you!
